The Northern Ireland Energy Forum, now in its seventh year, has firmly established itself as the annual conference event for Northern Ireland’s energy sector. The 2009 Forum will once again bring together all the key players, both from within Northern Ireland and further afield, to focus on the most important aspects of energy policy and latest developments from across the sector. It provides a unique opportunity for all those operating within the sector to come together for a day of networking and discussion.

This year’s Northern Ireland Energy Forum represents a key opportunity to bring together all those who will have an important role in ensuring Northern Ireland meets its energy goals to 2020 and beyond. The Forum will examine all the key issues that will be important in putting Northern Ireland’s energy policy into practice, including:

  • Investing in electricity and gas infrastructure;
  • Arrangements for introducing an all-island gas market;
  • Increasing the role of renewables;
  • Investments in sustainable and renewable energy projects;
  • How Northern Ireland will meet its targets for heat and power.
